The Greening of Peace

Even as we’re fretting about how chilly and damp it is, the sun is moving North. We’re in the midst of a period when the changes in sunlight hours are the greatest. 2:40 minutes a day of gain.

It helps our plants and flowers to understand that now, now, now is the time. And up they come. It seems so dreary, but then, all of a sudden there are flowers poking their heads up out of the sod. Look at me, they flutter… look at how beautiful I am.

Time to wander down the street to photographer Deb Slade’s house and see what sort of Spring beauty is on display.

Keep your eye out for Beauty. When you spy it, let someone know. An invitation to share the experience of Beauty is an invitation to Peace. Let us offer Peace to a world that sorely needs it.

Oh, March, Such Wild Peace

March is quite a month. Here in California, the questions are will it be sunny and beautiful or will it rain… pour, pour, pour. Back home the questions are should I wear shorts or where did I put that snow shovel? And not will there be wind, but how bad will it be?

And still we persevere… because all of March is beautiful. Wild has a beauty all its own.

Enjoy it… The drama lessens once April comes alive. Here’s to the wild Peace Of March…

Spring Showers & Peace

There’s crazy Beauty out there. Spring! Spring! Spring!  It’s sometimes hard to remember that it’s the showers that are part of what brings the Beauty. And it’s hard to imagine that May flowers could have anything on this!

Everywhere you look something wonderful is happening!

What if we looked for small pockets of Peace the way we look for small pockets of violets? What if we looked at dandelions and saw their beauty, their tastiness, and their importance to bees. We could discover a lot, I’m sure, that we didn’t realize was Peace.

Let’s do that! Let’s look for Peace! Let’s be it! Let’s bloom and flourish and spread like wildflowers, shall we? Here we come after the showers, May flowers to the rescue!
